I walk these streets of my childhood I’m lurking in the shadows where I ran
At nights you get use to the sound of the waves
And the smell of the water most of the time
 There’s a warm summers breeze
And you can see the reflection of the water on the ceiling at night

Silver spoon and bluegill catfish in the water
Bullhead too if you like something barking at you
I can smell a bonfire people burning leaves and someone’s got wood in a potbelly stove It was time to give up my childhood the one thing I never planned
